    That's good to know, not that I could have gotten the layla no matter how badly I may have wanted it.  But it sounds like the Roxanne was better suited for me.  I know I love them.  I don't know how the Roxanne's sound with the balanced cable.  But I'm not really after total neutrality anyway...

    funny, I was half hoping I'd feel the same with the roxanne's and smugly send them back.....but alas, like you, there is no going  back, not after I've seen the other side (or heard, rather) lol......

    I'd been using Shure se846's with an AK240, and have really enjoyed the combination.  But I took the plunge and ordered the Roxanne's, and it's pretty unbelievable how huge the sound stage, and as a semi-bass head, they're perfect for me.  I can't say enough about the ability to adjust the level...

    I'm sorry, I missed the price reference in the OP, but I use them with an AK240, they have excellent base and clarity.  I listen to more rock and metal than anything.  I prefer a warmer sound, which I get from these.  Fantastic noise canceling.  I own UE900's that gather dust.  They sound...

    Looking for a "back up" to my AK240......

    Hi, all.  I own an AK240 which I'm in love with.  I've owned a dx90, x5, AK120, AK 12II.  IEM's Shure se846.  I would really like to have a second high SQ DAP.  I've read review after review and thread after thread.  Lots of comparison.  I love the sound signature an sound stage of the AK240...
