    Triple Flange Silicone Sport earbuds

I bought these earbuds but tbh they are useless for my needs as the silicone is too soft. I'm fed up of having to use both hands to insert the in ear buds, one to pull my ear back to stretch my ear so I can insert the buds with the other hand. I look like a bl@@dy monkey doing it! I know triple...

TBH disappointed with NC headphones, ability and quality of

I guess that's a fair point but I'm betting it's not beyond the capabilities of today's electronics circuits to be able to sample ambient sound and attempt to reduce/cancel within milliseconds. With my Sonys I do have the option of running the noise cancelling optimiser which I will try next...

TBH disappointed with NC headphones, ability and quality of

I have the Sony WH1000XM2 which I bought a few months ago as I got tired of faffing around with IEMs. I've not used them much I suppose I'm still running them in, is that the right terminology and does one need to do this with full size headphones? I really don't know. But why on earth are they...

    CD to MP3 encoding

Actually no I could count on one hand the number of times I've used itunes. But I've just resurrected my ipod shuffle for jogging sessions and have decided to transfer CD content to it via itunes simply for on the go convenience. That's the theory anyway in practice it might work out...

    CD to MP3 encoding

Thanks for the advice folks. Looks like I'm going to have to invest in an external drive as a backup.   Out of curiosity what do you think of the quality of the mp3 files produced by itunes. As I said before for ipod shuffle purposes that's what I'll be doing for when I go jogging. Quality in...

    CD to MP3 encoding

I appreciate that. Will stick with my current setup and have downloaded EAC and at some point in the coming weeks will experiment with and learn to use it. I'm aware it's going to be a challenge. In the meantime I will make do with itunes converting my CDs for iPod Shuffle use only for outdoors...

    CD to MP3 encoding

Thank you Mickey I will check out the software you've mentioned.   Think you are right about the drives may have to try and get an external one. How much of a difference do you think it makes as regards ripping using a pioneer of Plextor?

    CD to MP3 encoding

I've been putting it off for ages but I'm after many years once again going to start converting my CDs to a digital format, MP3 being one of them. I'm going to be using the built-in DVD writer supplied with my HP desktop to encode (not the best choice I know). I'm converting to MP3 for...

LG HBS 900 Tone Infinim, bluetooth buds too shallow for my ears

Does anyone know of anyway I can hack these earphones so the buds are deeper. I find the only way I can get a good fit is to turn them upside down and insert. Unfortunately the current buds are not the most comfortable either so am looking at Comply foam replacements.  I was thinking of somehow...

    E4c vs SE215 bass comparison

Have actually ordered the Sony SBH52 and I may do some cable shortening on my e4c's. I am sure with some sugru, a soldering iron/solder and heat shrink cable sleeving I can create a monster!    Though the Jaybirds Bluebud X were pretty darn good for what they were the bluetooth did drop out...

    E4c vs SE215 bass comparison

Wow you know your audio, what a SE215 review!   Haven't taken the plunge yet but have you tried any of the Chinese bluetooth headphones yet? If so briefly what are your thoughts. Sorry know this is off topic now

    E4c vs SE215 bass comparison

The Sony device has poor reviews on Amazon so staying well clear. Having owned a Jaybird Bluebuds X, which I can't fault, going onto a device like this I fear would be a step backwards. Anyway I was intending on going onto bluetooth headphones as using the iems can be uncomfortable for...

    E4c vs SE215 bass comparison

That makes sense. Time to start getting used to a more balanced sound so will stick with the ec4 for the time being. Was intending in selling all my iem and going over to a bluetooth headphone model from China. But will delay this

    E4c vs SE215 bass comparison

Yes for Shure!   Very noticeable when you revert back to something like the e4c.

    E4c vs SE215 bass comparison

I expect this would be fairly expensive from Shure, cable needs to be replaced. Tempted to do it all myself.
