iFi audio ZEN Blue - The Official Thread

Just to add that over the weekend I managed to find an alternative antenna which appears nigh on identical to the Zen V2 one. It's available on the following link from Amazon for £2.69, which is worth a punt if you're curious...

The LED indication option was also included in the last update and is activated by double clicking the pairing button. I haven't updated yet, as I too don't want to lose the sleep mode option.

Also, on the subject of updates I noticed that the latest update v2.12 is out and the update notes show the removal of 'sleep mode'. Does 'sleep mode' refer to the feature that the unit no longer blinks it's lights all night, when not in use? As I found this option very useful.

The most recent software update also gives the option of turning off the lights altogether.

Am I not correct in believing that the original Zen has the same Qualcomm 5100 chip?

Apparently the new antenna boosts coverage by 70-80%. Which is surely an improvement?

I would say if HWA audio doesn't show up, in your smartphones developer options. It probably isn't possible.

I must add, that I'm very impressed with the aftercare for this product. Regular updates and a first for me, showing how effective updates over a Bluetooth connection can be.

The red blue flash finishes altogether, after about two minutes and then changes to no light at all. Which I believe is an improvement on the constant slow blue.....

Yeah, my other Samsung devices have the option of LDAC, in the normal Bluetooth connection options, as you've highlighted. Fingers crossed, that the upcoming Android 11 update, creates an option. Rather than utilising the developer settings.

I agree, they're a handy feature to have. However, I wish the settings you select, would save to the device that you're using. Plus I also still don't understand why a Sony device, would prioritise aptX over their own LDAC. I can only assume, that this is something to do with the Qualcomm...

Hi, Yeah, that's the option I had previously with my Note 9. Unfortunately with the Sony Xperia, no such option exists. 🤔

iFi audio ZEN Blue - The Official Thread

Hi, I've had my Zen Blu since June and can't say enough good things about it. I've recently switched mobile phones to the new Sony Xperia 5 ii, which I use as the primary device, to the Zen Blu. I was surprised to find that despite it being a Sony phone, the Zen Blu connects to AptX HD adaptive...
