Schiit Gungnir DAC
Serviceable ? Don't know exactly what you mean. Gungnir is fully balanced. The best you get is balanced out, as SE is internally summed. You COULD get better quality by using an external summing, but do not try to consider it with your setup, not worth it. Think of SE output as of...- gregzDk

Schiit Gungnir DAC
What you can do is take the balanced out and buy a good converter to SE. But thats a huge overkill with the rest of the setup you have. I wouldn't start considering it before having spent 2-3k USD or more on amp and cans.- gregzDk

Sonarworks Headphone Calibration software
Tried it with stock HD800, and it had a good effect, though I was not convinced if much better than carefully chosen EQ parameters.- gregzDk

great find:: cleanest usb audio, best sound
Never had issues with short and good quality USB cables. Only when you really move up the tier you might consider stuff like Mutec and others.- gregzDk

Schiit Yggdrasil Impressions thread
Quite difficult to spot used in EU, I am considering buying new, but will probably post a WTB first... My other option is to upgrade a Gungnir to Gumby, which (depending on how much I use on a new amp - thinking about EC or Cavalli stuff), could be a way to go.- gregzDk

Beyerdynamic T90 Discussion and Support Thread
Just did the tissue mod (original pads for now). The sibilance I had problem with is now gone. Overall, the sound is a little bit muffled, I might experiment with one layer tissue instead of two, but it is really just a little bit muffled, and the "s" is now "s" and not "SSSSSS". Worth it I...- gregzDk

Amp for Beyerdynamic T90
I can hear big difference between headphone output of NAD D1050 and the Darkvoice 336i. The sound is fuller and warmer. Lots of power available but loudness was OK on NAD and I do not listen loud.Usually around 10 o'clock. Now considering which tubes I should try. I like vocals (mainly female)...- gregzDk

Amp for Beyerdynamic T90
I often hear about Crack as a best pairing, but Valhalla, LaFigaro and Woo Wa7 come up often as well. What about some "warm" solid state amps? Preferably something what in the future will be able to handle Audeze LCD-2/3 well (probable upgrade in couple of years). Is it at a reasonable...- gregzDk

Beyerdynamic T90 Discussion and Support Thread
Hi guys I have a D1050 and Beyerdynamic T90. My setup is: Foobar2000 (flac) -> D1050 -> T90 The Beyerdynamic T90 is bright and accurate, bass light (as for my taste). I am interested in pairing with warm sounding amp, which will tame the treble and add a little bit of bass. From what...- gregzDk
