I tried the B&O/Beoplay H6 2nd Generation which is really strongly recommended by many as a great-sounding portable headphone (built to not need an amp). I didn't like the sound, thought the bass was way too boosted and it muddied up about 3/4 of the songs, with the other 1/4 sounding nice but...

It's not like the DT1990 is never recommended for people listening to music. Give him a break, it's hard for people new to headphones to know what they'll like until they go and try it.

If they sound the same to you why not sell the one (660S) that makes you more money? People can tell you the 660S is better for XYZ reasons but if you can't discern the difference then those reasons aren't better than $$ in your pocket.
