Interesting! Would you mind dropping a pic of your cans when you get a chance? I'd consider this options as well since I've always found the LCD series to have comfortable headbands. Did you have to modify the cups of the D7200 to install the headband?

Hah! Did you replace it with the one link I posted from eBay or did you just use extra padding? Another option? I personally like the leather strap without padding as I find they don't cause hotspots and spread the weight across my whole head but I'm sure it's not for everyone...
