That's what dolby headphone is for,if he has a sound card that supports it.. I use DT 770 pro 80's and they are glorious..Blow's any gaming headsets away and I've have about 6 different kinds..

The titanium hd will drive them fine..I have the DT 770 pro 80's.. I own them and they are awesome.. :)

What makes you feel you have a bum card? I just bought it and it sounds awesome..

I don't know why you think going from a Prelude to a titanium HD would be enough of an upgrade..I'd keep the Prelude.. Otherwise buy the HD from best buy like I did..They have a 14 day return policy..

I just read your review,it was out only yesterday,wow! I just picked up this card yesterday.. Its very nice..I have a razer barracuda also and they are actually pretty comparable.. I thought it had a headphone amp? Guess not? Powers my DT 770 pro 80's pretty well.. Have you tried the Barracuda ac-1?

If your saying the Barracuda can't compare,then there is something wrong with it. I have the cuda and titanium hd and the cuda was clearly better.. I also tried the xfi forte and did not see any need to upgrade to that from the cuda,cause it wasn't an upgrade..

Blinkstar... Your right,I did think it was the internal card.. But,I can tell you the Barracuda blows them both away easily.. Trust me,if you haven't heard the Cuda,its quality.. Music is incredible on it. The xfi hd wouldn't drive my DT 990 beyer 250's worth crap.The Cuda drove them better...

Your crazy! I also have the Razer Barracuda AC-1... I put in the new SB titanium HD.. The barracuda blew it away! Not only does the barracuda power my Beyer DT770 pro 80's.. The positional audio is top notch.. I have no idea what your talking about.. The Cuda is the real deal..

I've used 2 sound cards in my machine also.. Pretty much common sense..You can always just disable the one your not gonna use for a while..So if you want to use an xfi for gaming disable the card you use for music and vise versa..Normally have to reboot tho,but works like a charm..

I have the new mix amp and with my DT770 pro 80 I have to almost max out the mix amp to get it to a good sound level.. Is that normal or are those things weak in power? How is the FiiO E7 compared to that thing? Does anyone know?

I've had the Beat's,DT990's,Senn PC 360, I have the Denon 1100's,DT770 pro's. The 770's are awesome! They blow the Denon's away in clarity and the bass is tight. It sounds like subs in there.. The 770's would be perfect for you..You shouldn't need an amp either..

I have both those cans myself..I also find myself drawn to the 770 pro's. I also had the 990 320 ohm and I like the 770's also. Better bass and you can hear all the details. Very much liking the 770's.. :)
