More info. I also noticed that the MORE stuff the computer is doing the QUIETER the noise...the better the sound. Loading programs (firefox, audition, etc.) produces great sound until the loading is done, then it's back to the crap.

I just noticed that if I have a video stream open all other audio (in other players) is fine. It's the same no matter what player is open...windows media player, divx player...even embedded web browser players (flash *.flv). As soon as I close the player or the stream stops, the audio goes back...
