  1. Audio Technica ATH-SR5BT Hi-Res Bluetooth Headphones

    4.00 star(s)
This is my Review of the new ATH-SR5BT, of which I have received a pre-release unit directly from Audio-Technica U.S. The unit I have received is anyway fully functional and it is the same exact one which you would receive. I have received them two weeks ago and I am in the mid of the tests of more or less 90 Bluetooth Headphones, preparing the biggest side-by-side comparison of BT Headphones ever made. So I did not have time for very in-depth tests of one single headphone, but given that they were just launched and many of you are asking "what...
  2. XTZ Headphone Divine

    4.50 star(s)
As you can see in my Huge Comparison, I have tried to the date more than 40 BT Headphones, including many of the very best, and of the most expensive. I consider the XTZ Headphone Divine the Best On Ear BT Headphones, and one of the very best BT Headphones overall. They may not look as premium as some other Headphones (which cost 2 or 3 times more), but do not be fooled by appearances: this was a Kickstarter project, and XTZ (which was anyway already a renowned producer of Speakers) has concentrated their resources in the most important part...
  3. Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H8

    3.00 star(s)
Overall these H8 are not bad at all. I would have given them 4 stars if they would cost what they offer, five stars if they would offer what they cost. But although they sound GOOD, and are really premium built, they do not sound as good as a 500 bucks headphones is supposed to sound, and they have some problems which a 500 bucks headphone should not have. I say this, so that you can understand my rating better. Maybe your needs and priorities are such that you would end enjoying these headphones a lot more than I did. But I must give objective...
  4. AUDIO TECHNICA ATH-WS99BT Solid Bass Bluetooth Headphones

    4.50 star(s)
I have tested quite a few BT Headphones, and I have found many which are very good, and even excellent in some aspects. These are the ones which excelled in more aspects.   SOUND QUALITY: They have an amazing detail, excellent transparency, good soundstage and instruments' separation, very good frequency response, very good dynamic, and can get very loud. They are one of the very few BT Headphones which sound equally good in wireless and wired mode.   SOUND OUT OF THE BOX: The bass is advertised as solid. So at first I was expecting a bassy...
  5. Sony MDR-10RBT Bluetooth Headphone

    3.00 star(s)
They look, I must say, not premium as the Internet images made me expect. Specially the "silver" plastic is rather cheap looking. Anyway, they are not top of the line, so, it is ok. I personally consider them a bit too big to go around, but the trend in this moment is that. On my normal sized head they do not fit tightly enough, and according to how you move your head they leak sound and you lose basses. You can see the difference if you press them a bit against your head. The sound is ok, not bad, not excellent. There is a decent detail, a good...
  6. Bose SoundLink On-Ear Bluetooth Headphones - Black

    4.00 star(s)
At fist, a warning: it seems that the Bose Soundlink On-Ear have compatibility problems with iOS devices, which cause intermittent connectivity and skipping music. It is not clear to me if this problem happens always to all iOS users or just on some units, but given this risk I would suggest to buy them only where you can return them in case of problems. Like here in Amazon. I am waiting for an answer from Bose about this. For now I only know they are aware of it and are searching for a solution which could be applied via firmware update. Android...
  7. Harman Kardon BT

    3.50 star(s)
When I have found these Harman Kardon for a ridiculously cheap price, I had already decided that I would have kept the Fidelio M2BT, the best of all those I have tested (obviously). But given the price I said to myself that I could try them and eventually keep them as second pair at home if they where good enough. Well, they very good, but I will not keep them because they do not add anything to what the Fidelio has to offer. I would say they reach the 75% of what the M2BT can give. But, hey, that is VERY GOOD!!! The Fidelio are just wonderful...
  8. Philips Fidelio M2BT

    3.50 star(s)
This is an edited review, rerated from 4.5 to 3.5 stars. It is the sad story of the end of a love which I was sure it would have never ended. All because of a very bad Customer Care.   I started my quest for the best sounding and portable Bluetooth Headphones some months ago. I compared two. I was not satisfied. So I bought more. The Fidelio were among the first 5 I've compared. Soon it became a sort of hobby and passion and I've tested almost all the best Bluetooth Headphones available. In my thread "Huge Comparison of [almost] all the Best...
  9. Plantronics BackBeat PRO Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones

    4.00 star(s)
When I decided to give them a try I had no real expectations, I did not know this brand, and I didn't like the look. I thought they would have sounded mediocre.   I was very wrong! They are one of the very best sounding BT Headphones which I have tried. And I have tried almost 30, over the last months, as you can see in my thread "Huge Comparison of [almost] all the Best Bluetooth Headphones".   The Backbeat Pro are not my Favourite, but on some things they beat my Favourite. Which is normal, because there is no such a thing as ONE perfect...
  10. The House of Marley Liberate XL BT

    4.00 star(s)
When I listen to these Headphones I always think to Polygamy.   That is because I am already in love for another Headphone but I am also attracted by these Liberate. They are not exactly my kind of headphones. Actually, sometimes, depending on which Headphone I have just tested, I do not really like their strong sound signature. But indeed I like them. They have personality and somehow I am always tempted to listen to them. If headphones would be women, I would be having some problems in this moment. I would be at lest tempted to spend a time...
  11. JBL Synchros 400BT Bluetooth Wireless On-Ear Stereo Headphones

    3.50 star(s)
I have tested all JBL BT Headphones. I am not even sure why.   These are the ONLY one which is worth considering if you look for a good sound. But NOT for the actual price of $270, EVER. They do not sound so great either. But not bad like the other JBL. I have found them somehow exciting, with good dynamic, good bass, good highs and decent mids. They surely are not the most balanced and precise and detailed BT Headphones out there. But to be honest I preferred them to the AKG K845 for having more attack and determination. The AKG are much...
  12. JBL J56 BT Bluetooth Wireless On-Ear Stereo Headphone, Black

    2.50 star(s)
If I would have to choose between these and the JBL E40, I would probably kill myself. But in case I am of particularly good mood I would choose these.   They do not have much better SQ but have a somehow more interesting personality, with a proud strong dull bass of no more than decent quality, and bright highs (like all JBL BT Headphones). They do not lack mids but do not bring anything special there either. They have almost no soundstage, like the E40 and E50. And do not expect much detail here.   Their look is only second in awfulness to...
  13. Jabra REVO Wireless Bluetooth Stereo Headphones

    3.50 star(s)
When I first reviewed these Headphones some time ago in Amazon, I did not yet tried so many BT Headphones.   Somehow I like them more now, specially because their much cheaper price (actually around US$130 on Amazon) makes them among the best if not the best on their price range.   So, yes, they are good. Just, not "very" good. They are beautiful, I liked their mix of discrete Olive and lively subtle Orange lines. They sound warm, but somehow a bit dull due to a lack of highs and (I suppose) due to the lack of Aptx (which I am used to). Beside...
  14. Samsung Level over

    3.50 star(s)
I compared them to many other BT Headphones. A real comparison will be posted sooner or later in the "Huge Comparison" thread in the Forum.   I liked them. They have personality. Warm signature, proudly huge and stubbornly not foldable. Excellent rigid carrying case. Elegant look, solid build, premium feel with wonderful comfort.   I disliked them. They have no punch. Bass is very poor. Even if in comparison with the AKG K845 at least with the Samsung you can EQ it and it improves in quantity. The quality remains mediocre, not punchy. There is...
  15. JBL E50BT Black Premium Wireless Over-Ear Bluetooth Stereo Headphone, Black

    2.50 star(s)
Well, I can't really write much more than what I wrote for the E40.   They are the same in everything except that the E50 is bigger and have at least some bass. Actually, to really be honest, the E50 sound like an AKG K845 with poor detail and no soundstage. Which is probably impressive for the price. But I still am not impressed.   Personally, unless you really really need to wear something with a huge JBL logo, I think that if you buy this Headphones when you can get the Jabra Revo Wireless for $10 less, you are mad or masochistic. And by...
  16. JBL E40BT Black High-Performance Wireless On-Ear Bluetooth Stereo Headphone, Black

    2.00 star(s)
The only reason to buy these Headphones is if you want to give money to JBL in change of a big JBL logo on your head. Or if you hate Paul McCartney and want to listen to the Beatles without any trace of Bass.   Otherwise, for a few bucks more you can get the Jabra Revo Wireless which are UNIVERSES better than this thing here. Actually in this moment the Revo cost even less than the JBL E50 which are the same of the E40 but bigger and with a bit of bass. The Revo are really Headphones. These E40 are just a plastic toy which looks like a plastic...
  17. AKG K845 Bluetooth Over-Ear Headphones

    3.50 star(s)
The other reviewer said enough and in detail, so I will limit myself in giving my very brief opinion of their sound. Later on in the Forum, in the "Huge Comparison" thread, I will make a sort of comparison with all the many BT Headphones I have tested, including the AKG.   It may be because of this comparison, and it may be because I think that the typical neutral sound of the AKG is good only for monitoring/making music rather than for listening to it, but, I was not impressed by these headphones. They lack personality, they lack soul, they are...
  18. Beats Studio Wireless Over-Ear Headphone

    3.00 star(s)
I have tested many BT Headphones for weeks. I have opened a Thread about this huge comparison.   At first, there is a big "?" on these Headphones; the ghost of the Aptx. They are not listed on the Official Aptx Website, there is no notification about an Aptx connection when they connect to an Aptx Phone or PC, even the Sennheiser BTD500 dongle blinks blue (like for "no Aptx") and not red (like for "Aptx") when connected to these beats, and there is NO mention to Aptx for them on the Manual or on Beats Website. And nobody would hide that. Aptx is...
