    Philips Fidelio X2?!

Stop focusing on "how heavy it is" or"if the headband is going to last" or  "if they sound better than other headphones". I've owned them since mid November 2014, pairing them with a Aune T1 MkII, at first they were great but didn't sound incredible, IT WAS LIKE A ONE NIGHT STAND WITH A GIRL YOU...

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

Just a quick update from my new amp/dac Aune T1 Mk2, used for the Fidelio X2, for those who are interested in buying the X2 or/and a tube amp/dac:    I have, at the moment: the stock tube 6922, a Mazda PCC189 (white writing) , an Ultron PCC189 (white writing, even though I should of gotten a...

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

I switched to mid gain 10dB, the difference I can hear I think, is that it accentuates the highs a bit to much, but its maybe me, I will go back to 0dB in a while and see if the part with the highs is right. Except the highs there's no difference, only that, as everyone knows, the volumes are...

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

Ok, I got my Aune T1 Mk2 just an hour ago, I sent my Fiio e10k back. I only listened to the T1 with the stock 6922EH tube and I dont know if its placebo or what but it definitely sound much better already. I need to warm the tube more and I wil update you on that later. But for now what I can...

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

THANKS. I recently won a Aune T1 Mk2 for 107 pounds and im returning my Fiio due to some issues with the volume knob making noise when moved and some pops and cracks in sound manly in the high notes. It makes my fidelio x2 sound sometimes like cheap a** HPs. Anyway, I can hear that something is...

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

I understand. I will try and see what is the different when I get it, nothing to lose, I can sell the T1 after, if im not happy. It's always good to try different things personally, because everyone has a different hearing: damages, sensitivities, etc.

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

I tried them unamped directly into my onboard sound card. The bass is tighter, and the highs are not that spiky, although the fiio e10k produces harsher highs and looser bass, its more detailed and the soundstage wider that onboard, its normal. But im returning the fiio e10k as bought the Aune...

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

I'm no expert at all, but the Fidelio x2, being a 32ohm headphones, does it need amplification, or a better amp than the one on the T1? I thought that they don't necessarily need amping up.

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

CoiL, can you suggest a couple of budget tubes for me please? Also, if you come across any buying links, let me know. it seems you have more experience with that. Thank you.

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

Considering that I got the Aune with almost 30 ponds cheaper I will definitely look into some tubes, thank you for the suggestions.   Oh Jezz, I thought I finished my quest into DACs/AMPs, heapdhones but now I'm back in the game, looking for tubes :)))

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

Thank you Peter123, it seemed to work, but only for a couple of seconds, when I move the knob after a while it still has that crackling,

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

:))) That's cool.  Haha, that's cool. I just won a Aune T1 on auction for 107pounds, I will return the fiio e10k and see the difference. I can't listen to the fiio with the highs to emphasized for my ears. I need something warmer.   Also, depleted, do you have any issues with the volume...

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

Thank you CoiL, I did read in a thread here that someone had the x2 with the fiio e10k and it indeed sounded to bright for his ears, but his girlfriend liked the sound, so maybe I am to sensitive to the high frequency of this DAC+HP combination.     When I hear to warm sounding songs (some...

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

Do you think the Aune T1 is better than then Fiio e10k for the Fidelio x2?

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

I think I will consider getting the Aune T1 and return the Fiio e10k. I feel like the fidelio x2 for some reason doesn't sound right to me with the fiio, its to harsh, like a knife straight into the ears and to distant. I never had open back headphones before I have a Denon A-HD1100 and for me...
