Geuss the only option is buying a new DAC/AMP since nobody seems to know what might be wrong. Is 600 euro's for a marantz HD-DAC1 worth it, or are there better options for this money, it's going to drive DT1770's.

Hello, Since a few weeks I'm getting a static noise from my dacmagic, sometimes it takes a while when started up but after that it's almost always there. Anybody has any tips/tricks? I tried using USB and currently on optical audio, both give the same result. Thanks for the help!

I have read that the impendance of the AMP should be at least 8x lower than the headphones impendance 250/8=31.25 and the DACmagic is rated around 50ohms. Thank you for your opinion, not having to spend money is always the best answer ;).

DT 1770 pro 250 ohm, I'm not looking to invest +500 euro's for another headphone :) I just wonder if the DACmagic plus is a good enough AMP for my DT 1770 pro's.

After posting a topic in the wrong section I will try my luck over here ;) The title pretty much explains the situation as it is. I bought a pair of DT1770 pro's with a DACmagic plus and I do really like the sound it produces but I want to know if buying a AMP will improve my sound a lot...

update: The darkvoice amp looks like a solid choice after some good old fashioned use of google. But I can't really find a lot of good information yet... Since there are no reactions just yet, nobody used/uses a DACmagic plus in combination with the DT1770 pro's?

Hi people! My current setup is a dacmagic plus and a beyerdynamic DT1770 250ohm, the sound they produce is the best I ever had. Will the use of a dedicated AMP for my headphones boost my experience even more? If yes, what is in your opinion the best AMP to add to my setup? Looking forward to...

Thank you all for the help, I chose the Beyerdynamic's DT1770's pro because of a pretty friendly price and reading allot of reviews. Going by the reviews the DT's should work for me :)
