L0rdGwyn's DIY Audio
I looked up Audio Feast transformers. The US distributor has a sense of humor. Their email is: cleanunderwear@gmail.com. Too funny.- funch

Interesting read
https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/the-global-capacitor-crisis-unleashed-by-a-stolen-formula/ar-AA1lHP6v?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=LCTS&cvid=5e775b945a044b45a66690cba05bc7dc&ei=98 I remember getting an email about a class action suit against capacitor manufacturers. Now I know why.- funch

AZ Head-Fi Mini-Meet Impressions Thread (2024-2-17)
The Pocket Class A has 2 transistors and a mellower sound; the newer design Diamond Buffer has 9 transistors and a more dynamic sound. The difference between the two is very slight though. They're both very good. If I could only keep one, it would be the Diamond Buffer. I'm glad I have both...- funch

AZ Head-Fi Mini-Meet Impressions Thread (2024-2-17)
This one was the best mini I've been to. Lots of amazing new stuff. Can't wait for the next one. As always koover was the best host. I think I was the oldest fart there, but the 'kids' still let me come.- funch

Any old fart head-fi'ers still around?
Sad but true. The headphone hobby has exploded since I signed up in '04 (lurked since '02). With the popularity come the thieves and screwballs. Unavoidable. I 'spose the best advice is 'reader beware'.- funch

Decware ZKit 4 DAC output stage
I used two of these: https://www.decware.com/newsite/diy/decware/ZKIT4.html The unit is driven directly from the DAC chips in a Schiit Gungnir; balanced in/balanced out. It uses two tube regulated power supplies listed in the link. Power supply.- funch

Decware SE25 clone headphone amp
The amp is a clone of this: https://www.decwareproducts.com/se84ufo25 I used headphone output transformers from Transcendar, added a choke (behind the power tranny) to deal with hum. This is endgame for me, after many many builds.- funch

Hah! 'Carrot Amp'. Never thought of that name. Maybe have someone airbrush something green on the back. The amp is a headphone oriented DIY clone of this: https://www.decwareproducts.com/se84ufo25 It uses headphone specific output transformers from Transcendar, who have shut down their website...- funch

AZ Head-Fi Meet: November 18th, 2023
It was a great meet. So nice to see the 'regulars' as well as the first timers. (Mr. Snies, aka the Ghost was even there.) As usual I did too much yakking and not enough listening, but what I heard was very good. I counted around 27-30 of us there: a good turnout. A giant shout out to Coolzo...- funch

Bijou All Tube Futterman Headphone Amplifier
I built a Bijou back when it was first revealed. Sergey is correct. Wire the heaters following the original diagram in his post #4,271 and be done with it. Only wire to pin 9 when using the ECC99 tube.- funch
