We usually rely on a lot of naturally recorded music in the RD process, because outside of talking about / acting based on reading measurements, there is still a lot of individual decision making based on actually listening experience. How does a piano / drum set / upright bass etc. translate...

That makes a lot of sense!! Compared to our crystal clean, kind of surgical sounding rme DACs, the SPL to my ears has a slightly warmer, more voluminous sound (even without anything happening in the Matrix). Really great device, also such a good visual match to our HEDDphone in my opinion :)
