Why buy a Macbook?
and your argument would be valid if apple made the most reliable computers, which they don't as asus, sony and toshiba consistently place above them in reliability statistics.- fratey

Why buy a Macbook?
I'd probably have a 15" MBP if it wasn't like $4000 for one with 8GB RAM and the slowest dual core processor. Thanks, but I'll pass, as I need something that is fast for my photography and design work without the price tag of half of Denmark. To sum it up, Mac = Bose products.- fratey

Going to steal my friend's 3GS then to try, it's not like I get annoyed if it's good, just means I have more to play with. :3- fratey

Review by 'fratey' on item 'Apple iPod classic 80 GB Black (6th Generation) OLD MODEL'
I bought a barely used iPod a nice day in february. The design is nice. The menus are really nice! The storage means you can throw anything on it. However, the good things end here. With a bang. The battery life was worse than my iriver e10 from 2006. Which I bought 2006. This was...- fratey

SansaClip+ Rockbox Impressions thread
After using my Clip+ rockboxed for a week, I can say that I'd rather pay $500 for a Clip+ than $200 for another iPod. Now I'm just extremely lucky that the clip ISN'T that high, because I'd be ready to pay that much. It's even better than my iriver e10 that I absolutely loved (and sold my iPod...- fratey

Phones with good built in mp3 player
Since when does the 3GS have good sound quality? I must've missed something quite hard... edit: of course, talking about the 3.5mm out. I haven't had good experiences.- fratey

portable mp3 headphones noisy enviroment
The K518DJ isolate quite well, leak almost no sound, and are slightly bassy. They seem very durable. They are also dirt cheap. Anything interesting?- fratey

Weird comparison - Turbines or NE-7M's?
Price level over here: €60 for NE-7M's, and €130 for Monster Turbine. I've narrowed it down to these two considering the IE7's are about €60 more. I'm going to plug them into a Sansa Clip+ without amplifier. I listen to hardstyle/nustyle, techtrance, indie, postrock, house, electro...- fratey

7th Gen (2009) iPod Classic 160 SQ
How much better is it than the Classic 80GB? I got really angry when listening to my old 80GB because the sound quality was absolutely terrible, it pissed me off every time.- fratey

iRiver e10 dead. What to do?
Usually when I boot me up, it gives me a screen like this except that it tells me to update firmware. It hangs like this and gets warm and stuff. When I plug it in, this message appears. It's several years old, of course, but it has really amazing sound and I'd like to keep it until I got my...- fratey
