Micrphone Reccomendation for Mechanical Keyboard
Now that I've watched that video and tested it myself, I'm convinced that it's pretty sweet for a mic that sat in my drawer for years doing nothing. I might rig something up to aim it toward me, but I'll probably grab a cheap mic stand so I can move it close or swivel it out of the way. I'm...- fox091

Micrphone Reccomendation for Mechanical Keyboard
I never thought of using the Guitar Hero mic. Is it really that good for this type of thing? I have one sitting in a drawer somewhere. I'll go try it out. Now, for the stand, could I just get a clamp-on stand to screw onto my desk so it is swiveled up near me? My friend was thinking of...- fox091

Micrphone Reccomendation for Mechanical Keyboard
Maybe a little out of the ordinary for head-fi, but you guys seem to be audio wizards. I'm looking for a microphone. I always talk in Teamspeak and occasionally in games, but far less so lately. I might like to do some recording for Youtube or potentially streaming at some point. The key...- fox091

Looking for a comfortable set of cans for a big head.
Sounds pretty good to me. Fairly low on the clamping force. Did they require time to "break in" so that the pads were pretty soft?- fox091

I will probably buy from them in a couple days. I like to give my self a sort of buffer period so I don't jump straight in to buying something and get buyers remorse.- fox091

Alright. I'm going to make myself wait a day or two to make sure I want them 100% and then I will probably go that route. I bought a paintball mask from a guy before that just had damaged packaging for half price and it was marked used - Like New and it was a great experience.- fox091

How would you say the clamping force is on the 558? My problem isn't as much size, as it is that I get bad headaches when something squeezes my head. I am liking them better now due to the real velour pads. Plus, I can get them for around $76 like bikerboy said.- fox091

Are you talking about the listing on Amazon? I see almost that exact price from an authorized dealer on Amazon in like new condition. I'm genuinely considering them at this price.- fox091

Looking for a comfortable set of cans for a big head.
I live in West Virginia and we only have one Best Buy close enough to drive to. All they have is Beats, Bose, and a couple of other brands in the store. They hardly have anything other than laptops and appliances on display honestly. I like the look of the 518s quite a bit and the price is...- fox091

I can find them for about as low as $140 and I do really like the look of them, but that feels a bit too high for me. I actually had them pulled up yesterday and liked them, but didn't know if the price was worth it. I also read that the Pros clamp a bit harder than the premiums and to avoid...- fox091

Looking for a comfortable set of cans for a big head.
Tek Syndicate did a video on Youtube a while back talking about getting rid of your gaming headset and going to a separate mic and headphone combo. I've wanted to do this for a while, but have never really taken the time to sit down and plan out what I wanted. I already have a really awesome...- fox091
