Can anyone that has sound ID reference try this and see if it’s an improvement across the board as I have? Use custom eq starting with neutral, add a low shelf at 100hz +0.5db. I also prefer mixed filter, but this might be a separate thing. I didn’t think an eq setting so subtle could provide...

Great condition and clean but doesn't get used enough. Local pickup in bay area (California) is possible too. Includes DUMMER XLR and all original accessories including the 1.1 tuning kit/pads, 1/4" cable, case etc. The most neutral pad (imo) is currently the one in it but easily swappable.

I think this also depends on the headphones, how heavy-handed the eq needs to be to push towards reference and how much distortion that may introduce. Some headphones can EQ better than others (usually if it's very low distortion or neutral-ish to begin with, allows a lot more headroom or less...

lol they're supposed to sound more or less the same when using reference 4, since it's supposed to bring them closer to reference frequency response. This is useful as a tool to have consistency when mixing/mastering. As for listening pleasure, True-fi had some bass/treble controls for flavor...

The cooling gel pads are less stiff than the memory foam ones, and direct replacement. The Brainwavz would not be plug and play. However, I wish I could replace the headband pad with the cooling gel since it's stiff until fully warm.

However, the hd650 he tested it on is fairly high already. Plus wouldn't OI more so affect the frequency response versus volume/power?

Yes, using the balanced out for highest potential performance. I wish they had more specs around this.
