There really isn't, if they use the same drivers. Bit perfect is bit perfect. Only way to get a difference is if you use different output, example polling instead of event or whatever. And even then it is not worth the effort, imho, unless your equipment is sub par.

Roon is great, and crossfeed is amazing to avoid fatigue, especially on older "we got stereo now so we will use whole stereo" recordings. There is no difference between streaming services, as long as they use same masters (they don't). Funnily enough, that won't stop anyone from claiming...

The way I understood freya is that it sums the differential signal before outputing to SE. So it removes ground noise, hum, etc. On XLR it just passes the signal, and expects the next thing in chain to sum it. So is it possible your amp further down the chain does not sum the signal, and...

I thought Schiit is migrating to typeC anyway in new products? And using usb2 rated cables is fine, because audio doesn't needd the bitrate anyway.
