    AirPods

I have been using AirPods for about a month now. I have Westone W60s and UE Triple-fi pros for comparison. Here are my findings thus far:   Pros:  Very light, almost 'invisible' Stay put, even while exercising (treadmill, elliptical, weights, yoga) External sounds don't seem to spoil the...

    Westone W60 Impressions Thread

Westone just sent me a replacement W60 and new cable. I'll be carefully monitoring them for any issues. Westone has been very good at replacing them under warranty.   The faceplate issue is a concern but not as much as the connector. BTW, thanks for your reviews, Twister. I really enjoy...

New Even Earphones - Tuned to Your Sound

I read a review about the Even headphones in MacWorld and visited the website, where they will let you test your hearing to create an 'EarPrint'. It only takes a few minutes to do this. Once you generate your EarPrint, you can listen to different genres of music to see how the EarPrint corrects...

    Westone W60 Impressions Thread

I just sent Westone my second pair of W60's because of connector problems. I bought my original pair just over a year ago. The service rep told me that she wasn't aware of a design issue with the mmx connectors on the W60. I've also received several faceplates to replace the cracked ones. I...

I must admit those connectors are a bear to separate, and I didn't know they once had a two pin connector...I'm all for that too!

    Westone W60 Impressions Thread

I've had my W60's since last October. They are the most comfortable and best-sounding IEM I've heard. With that said, the faceplate issue plagues this model (and Westone acknowledges it). I just sent in my original pair because of connector problems (sound would cut out when the connector was...

And there are some caramelized tan filters that 'sweeten' the sound

Thanks for the info about the custom tips. I appreciate your posts on this forum and will be watching your reactions to the Jupiters when/if you get them. They have a unique design and the sound qualities appear in line with Westone signature.

I'm interested in the UM56 tips. Can you explain the process in getting them. I know you start by going to an audiologist for impressions. Cost for this? Where does Westone come in? I see they offer vinyl and silicone tips. Which do you prefer? Thanks. I'm using star tips and have gotten...

    Westone W60 Impressions Thread

I read your earlier posts. Mine have W60 on the sides. I looked at the manual inside the box and it says Rev4, the insertion guide says Rev 2, and the box shows Rev 3!!,  so I'm confused about the Rev number. I hope to hear back from them. Thanks for the info.

    Westone W60 Impressions Thread

Just want to weigh in on the W60 faceplate issue. My W60's are less than two months old. Two weeks ago I woke up, put them on and noticed the right phone was missing half of the faceplate. I looked at the left and found a small crack around the screw. Today, I received replacements for both the...

Thanks for the helpful information. It isn't always easy describing in words what you hear, but you did a good job. I wasn't able to listen to the Bolet, but did get a copy of the Pires concerto which I like. I spent considerable time listening to it and several piano pieces, and this morning...

Could you provide any examples of what you claim above in bold? I would like to hear this myself, since I am a pianist, and have not experienced what you describe in my listening sessions with the W60. Thanks.

    Westone W60 Impressions Thread

I've had the W60 for a month now. I moved from a UE Triple-Fi Pro 10. The Westone sound is real and rich. Acoustic guitar, bass, piano, and vocals are reproduced with uncanny realism, layers of detailed texture and very wide soundstage. I've been to countless live concerts over the years and use...
