Grado Modders Go Ypsilon (Elleven Acoustica drivers and builds thread)
@DavidA Only the wood part is added. The grey aluminum was provided by Symphones and is where the driver sits (held in place bij those black screws), and it's where you'd normally put your pads. With the distancer attached, you place the (G-)pad around the distancer, so the drivers is further...- Flipjack

I didn't see that my image was blocked by Photobucket, because I don't have a paid plan, so I apparently can't share images. My bad! Will stop using that service. Hope I can find an image elsewhere, it seems that Photobucket replaced the original image with this speedometer.- Flipjack

What made you sell the G1 and keep the R1? Purely based on outside appearance: I like your old G1's a lot more :) They both look cool though.- Flipjack

I'm curious to hear how my ordered Epsilon G1 compares to my Magnum v3.5. I use the magnums with the MS1000 mod (distancers + G-cush) and it still is my favorite pair of headphones. The G1's should be in my hands in a couple of weeks, as I also ordered a pair of wood cups with it.- Flipjack

Reversible AKG K701 bass mod
Yes! I liked the K701 five years back, but sold it due to too little bass weight and it was too airy for my taste. The K712 Pro with the bass mod checks about all of the boxes for me it seems, so far (bought them 1 week ago). The K712 Pro's have me tapping my feet - a feat that the K701 never...- Flipjack

Grado modders go Magnum
Ok thanks :) So to sum up (V3,5 & V4 compared): - V3,5: more forward/shouty midrange, more treble - V4: more bass (across the whole low-freq range?), deeper soundstage Is this correct?- Flipjack

Ok. Well, then you have something to look forward to, when money's less tight ;) Let me know when you've moved (and if you need a helping hand with moving, let me know), we should meet. And let's continue in PM's; don't want the whole world to interfere with our personal lives ;)- Flipjack
