@DavidA Only the wood part is added. The grey aluminum was provided by Symphones and is where the driver sits (held in place bij those black screws), and it's where you'd normally put your pads. With the distancer attached, you place the (G-)pad around the distancer, so the drivers is further...

There are 4 holes, 1 in each of the cardinal directions. it's lined with felt. I have the distancers tacked on, I didn't wat to glue them to the aluminum.

I'm curious to hear how my ordered Epsilon G1 compares to my Magnum v3.5. I use the magnums with the MS1000 mod (distancers + G-cush) and it still is my favorite pair of headphones. The G1's should be in my hands in a couple of weeks, as I also ordered a pair of wood cups with it.
