i've been using my k1000 with a REL subwoofer for a few months now - this subwoofer brand allow the connection to the integrated amp via the speaker outs. so far so good in getting the bottom to complement the k1000. still playing with the integration of the bass though ...

i have tried the spark / cayin ha-1a and it drives my k1000 with no problems. volume typically at between 11 pm and 2 pm, depending on recording. found it had less power to drive it from the spk outs. my 2cents.
