I'm using the chain Yggy->Eddie Current Balacing Act with PX-4 tubes into the HD 800 S and this is absolutely wonderful. The EC is an amazing amp I love every single minute I'm listening. It's a perfect match to the HD 800 S. Acoustics to die for.

I also made the same experience, PX4 tubes (I'm using AVVT PX4 Mesh) are by far superior to 300B tubes - I would strongly recommend that you look for a pair of them.

Same happened to me ... I was also among the first in the Queue as you (maybe among the first 40), and after waiting five (!) weeks for customs clearance in China the unit was DOA. Good to know that this issue is fixed, as I'm still waiting for the replacement ...

I had a similar experience with my Auralic Vega once, it seems that something inside has hung up, I guess that if it's happening once it isn't a big deal (it didn't happened again for me since the ). Maybe this keeps you a bit more relaxed ;-).
