To all the travelers IEM or Noise Cancelling?
Strictly for planes, I find ANC headphones to be better. I purchased a set of the Bose Quietcomforts for the 'rents last Christmas, and they really do a remarkable job blocking out ambient plane noise. I myself still use IEMs for portability and the (in my opinion) better sound quality...- Fanga

Custom IEM driver degradation
That's actually a solid and simple idea. Thanks! I'm assuming just any generic silica-gel thing?- Fanga

Custom IEM driver degradation
Hello, I had previously had a pair of TF10's reshelled into customs. They've served me for about a year before upgraditis kicked in (and a switch to a more mobile lifestyle), and I decided to send them to Unique Melody for the 6 driver reshell upgrade. So far I have nothing but good...- Fanga

I didn't ask for the colored tips. I believe they're there to indicate left (blue tip) and right (red tip). They match up with a the kozee cable, which has blue and right indicators.- Fanga

Kozee Sound Solutions ** MAJOR CS ISSUES - NOT RECOMMENDED (info in first post) ** Custom IEMs & Reshell review
These are my first customs, and I had them remolded for comfort and isolation more than anything else. I believe on these 2 qualities, Adam has delivered. As the fit is good, I haven't had any problems wearing them for the past 2 hours, and the seal holds tight with my mouth both open and...- Fanga

Kozee Sound Solutions ** MAJOR CS ISSUES - NOT RECOMMENDED (info in first post) ** Custom IEMs & Reshell review
In case I forgot to mention to the general public, I had my Universal UE TF10's reshelled :) Unfortunately, I don't have a stock pair lying around to do some A/B testing, so my comparisons are mostly from memory (which I will admit may be suspect because I had first sent my impressions...- Fanga

I'm sorry to hear about your recent fitting problems i2Ehan :( Thank you again for helping me contact Adam. I also finally received my IEMs today after a 4 month waiting process. I was fortunate that my molds seem to fit perfectly with no trouble. I can also provide further...- Fanga

Any audiophiles that listen to dubstep?
Try the FA-11 (Fischer Audio). I mix and match with it and the AKG k702. It has solid bass with a great deal of impact. I'm not huge into dubstep (glitch mob, PANTyRAiD, etc.), but I find the FA-11 works really well. It's a fairly budget orientated headphone too. I think $120 + shipping from GD...- Fanga

Monster Turbine Challenge - Reviewers Wanted!
Not sure if this is too late but I am interested in this. My listening preferences are: hip-hop, techno, indie, acoustic rock, classical (orchestra, chamber music, etc). I have never owned any of the monster turbine series, but have been steadily explored more and more IEMs. My...- Fanga

Unique Melody Remold Impressions Thread
I'm highly interested in the idea of the TF18, but the China custom mess is very unattractive. I believe this was asked once previously, but has any one had an experience sending molds locally? I frequent Shanghai several times a year, but live in the US. Not sure how I would handle the...- Fanga

UE TF 10, should I add a driver(s)?
How drastic is the sound signature change? I have read similar things. I've been thinking of the UM reshelled tf10 for the future, but I do like how they sound right now. Just hate the massive housing! If you had to say, which would you prefer more, TF10 or UM reshelled TF10?- Fanga

Schiit Lyr Shipping! Impressions?
Out of curiosity, have you ever heard the AKG k702 with the Asgard? I'm curious what the differences between those 2 amps are since I'm running the asgard now with pretty good results, but the Lyr presents possibly great synergy and upgrade room for the future (+ immediate benefits). ...- Fanga

Comply tips sound Awful on TF10?
Wow that long? I'll have to check into this then. Is the mod kind of like cutting the P-series comply (trim the overhand down to the core)? Quote:- Fanga

Comply tips sound Awful on TF10?
^ 100% agree. I can't get a fit with the stock silicone tips, but have no problems with the comply. Just make sure the foam isn't covering the bore openings and I can't complain. Not sure what I"ll do in the future though because I dislike how expensive the comply's are. Segue: the UE TF10...- Fanga
