## Headphones I own: ########
* Audio-Technica ATH-M50 - I love the clean sound, but I'm starting to look for something new.

* Sennheiser Amperior - I think these are a little too warm for me. I don't find them exciting enough and I prefer the feel of the M50, as controversial as that may be.

## Headphones I've tried: ######
* Audio-Technica ATH-AD700 - Super clean for the price, but kinda boring for my tastes in music as they lack any bass emphasis. Very comfortable, but the earcup padding is a little thin and cheap feeling.

* Sennheiser HD 598 - Boring. Respectable headphones, but the warmth doesn't compliment the type of intense music I like. I tried these with the Audioquest Dragonfly V1.2 and still found them kinda boring, though I may buy them if I wanted to experiment more with a pair of open-backed headphones on a budget.

* Sennheiser HD 600 - I thought Sennheiser was out of the question for my listening tastes until I tried these. I tried these with the JDS Labs Objective2 amplifier & Audioquest Dragonfly DAC and loved the sound. The soundstage on these is the largest I've yet heard, and this was the first time I was really satisfied with an open-back headphone -- it retains a humongous amount of bass impact! Though I was really happy with these, I still think I'd rather own something a little brighter (or even just more neutral) for most of my listening.

* Ultrasone HFI-580 - I tried these with some DAC that I can't remember. These took a little bit of time to grow on me because they're not nearly as neutral as my primary listening headphones (ATH-M50), but they're enjoyable. I didn't have more than about 30 minutes to casually listen with these and hope to give them another trial soon.

Music Preferences
EDM (IDM, jungle, house, old dubstep); metal (progressive, experimental); hip-hop (90's East coast, a little bit of West coast too); jazz (radio).

Other than radio jazz, most radio music annoys the piss out of me.
