Looking for some new comfortable headphones

Thanks, I went out and demo'd the ATH-MSR7 and just bought them.   My first impressions for anyone who might be considering them; they have a very neutral sound signature with just enough bass  for my liking and well detailed with a slightly mid-centric tonality. My only concern is clamping...

Looking for some new comfortable headphones

Haven't posted here in a while, but I just recently moved back into a uni flat, so I can't blast music out late at night anymore. I've got Sennheiser Amperiors, which I love the sound of, but they're not comfortable enough for me to wear for most of the day.   So, the point is, I'm looking for...

Electronic Music Exchange (House, DnB, Dubstep, etc.)

I know it's a bit old but it's been in my head too much to ignore.     And a friend introduced me to this song. I have no idea why i didn't start listening to him (both) sooner.

Electronic Music Exchange (House, DnB, Dubstep, etc.)

Yup, just started producing properly recently, but they're mostly just big loops really (then again isnt most electronic big loops? Just with more incidentals).   So if anyone wants to check my music out my soundcloud's here: http://soundcloud.com/error403 And I've put them up on Youtube...

Electronic Music Exchange (House, DnB, Dubstep, etc.)

Thought I'd post something and I haven't seen much Aphex while I've been following this thread, so...     Music starts at about 4:22. Wish that song in the beginning (starts just after a minute in) was a full mix, but some people have tried to make some remixes of it and this is...

Quote: The only ANC headphones I have heard mentioned that would be worth trying would be the PSB M4U 2 (which also have a built-in amp, so you shouldn't need to buy one for it - this may make them heavier than desired). It may be worth looking into in ear headphones or headphones that have...

Quote:   Quote:   I've been using an older version of Ableton Live (version 7.something) for a bit of music production work and I find i prefer it to what I used to have in Reason (and from using it in school). I even prefer Ableton's drum system, especially cause it's better for...

Pioneer HDJ-500r after 5 months full in depth review

I got mine in February and for the most part I agree, but the mids are definitely recessed (to my ear at least); you might not hear it from just listening to them but if you switch over to something with a more neutral sound you will hear the mids are a lot more prominent.

    Sennheiser Amperiors?

Quote: So, you're saying given retail prices only, you would still take the original HD25-1 II over the Amperior? And how's the bass compared between the two (namely in extension and definition)?

Recommendation from vintage AKG K340 owners (present and past)

Quote: Doubt the Denon D2000's will fit you. They have recessed mids, reportedly bright highs (sometimes sibilant, depending on the person) and the bass can be a bit loose and slow at times. They do have a very nice, large soundstage, however, as they don't seal properly, so they're more...

Quote: The HD439 has what I would say is neutral bass and i don't think they have very good isolation (I'm not too sure how much isolation, as I no longer have HD439s in my possession), but have brilliant comfort as they have velour ear pads. From what I've heard from/about the WS55 (I've...

    Sennheiser Amperiors?

Quote: Imagine the same scenario, but they're $50 more. That's what everyone in the UK's stuck with. And I think HD25s as standard are worth more here, but they're still about half the price of the Amperiors here.

Quote: Maybe KRK KNS 8400, though they might not have the bass you want for EDM, they'll be pretty good for most other genres and are very comfortable, have great detailing, good soundstage (especially given the price) and are very comfortable. They look a little goofy on the head though...

KRK KNS-8400 Review (Impressive $150 headphone)

Quote:   Wow, just did this and they are considerably more bassy than I previously thought (though it has been a while and I think my MBP might be better than my other sources). MUCH more to my personal taste. Thank you.
