ifi has now confirmed to me that there is a bug on version 5.20 that introduces a 5 seconds delay after 15-20 seconds of idle.   I am just a little surprised that a bug like that would make it through QC.. but hey **** happens

  So tested it at work... the 5 seconds delay is happening on all machines i tested on after just being idle for 15-20 seconds (Laptops/desktops/win10/win8.1/win7) reported this to ifi ofc.

well that is not true... if you push pause and then play immediately after, it will just start playing instantly without any pop or anything

  Already did that, but thnx also disabled USB sleep in the the device manager, on everything relating to audio and USB.   the only other thing i can do is disable power states completely for everything in the bios.. but that will make everything  including my i7 cpu and my nvidia graphics...
