When I was running a Lyr 2 I had a set of Electro-Harmonix 9622EH's in them. Out of the different tubes I tested these were my favorite. Don't worry about getting the gold pin version and just save the money. The stock tubes that Schiit gives you sounded too lean for my tastes.

I recently picked up the atom amp after using the first gen EL stack. DAC wise i couldn't tell a difference between the 2 but the atom amp sounds a lot cleaner. very impressed for a $200 setup.
