Not sure about soundstage, but the Alpha Pads do increase the bass impact. I may try the hybrid brainwavz pads once I get my new pair in.

I actually go back and forth between the stock pads and the Alpha Pads. The Alpha Pads seem to make them more of a V sound signature.
