Westone UM PRO Series Thread
Thanks for the kind words. I was planning to take some pictures when I was able to do an A/B (also to show the 3x and 50v2 side by side). Not sure how to do it as an "official" review here, I'm not really anyone official, I'm just some guy who likes headphones.- dvdonly

Westone UM PRO Series Thread
Here are my initial impressions after listening to them for about 4-5 hours yesterday in a critical listening environment, and about 3-4 hours today in "normal every day mode" (i.e. walking to work, during breaks and lunch, at a coffee shop after work). Note: I wasn't able to do a proper A/B...- dvdonly

Westone UM PRO Series Thread
They're here! I'll weigh in later with more detailed sound impressions and perhaps even a bit of an A/B with the UM3x . I will say I have the following initial impressions: Love the smooth finish of the shell compared to the 3x. It was also smaller than I thought and sits flusher in my ears...- dvdonly

Westone UM PRO Series Thread
I’m happy to write it up (both initial impressions and then a few days/weeks later when I’ve lived it with for a while). But we also appreciate pro reviews as well. Trust me, I don’t need excuses to buy new headphones. It’s a disease. I will says the Beyerdynamic velour pads have definitely...- dvdonly

Westone UM PRO Series Thread
Oh wow, it's been years since I was active here so I didn't even realize that was a thing. I don't think I even own anything in there anymore! Fixed! I do still own the DT880s but rarely use them so I kept them off. I also still own the V6 (replacement velour pads coming since the old ones are...- dvdonly

iPhone X so I think I’m covered ;) I upgrade my earphones much less often than my phones. Same with speakers vs AV equipment.- dvdonly

Westone UM PRO Series Thread
Well this thread has me excited about the v2 versions of the UM50 Pro...so I took the plunge and bought one. It should arrive tomorrow. I’ll be upgrading from a UM3X which I’ve been enjoying for maybe 6-7 years or so. I’m hoping the upgrade will be noticeable. I’ll post some unboxing pics and...- dvdonly

The Government gets Westones for CHEAP =O
Men and women who put themselves in harm's way to defend our country should get their Westones for cheap! That said, I know one guy in the military who has the cushiest job and sits on his thumbs all day. I hope he never takes advantage of this.- dvdonly

New Westone Product?
I too hope it's more than just a removable cable version of the W4. Not that an RC version would be a bad thing, just that if you're going to send a major promotional email it better be for something revolutionary and new, not an RC version of an existing product. I'm looking for a good...- dvdonly

Westone UM3X Thread
+1 for Westone's customer service. I had the cable start going on the fritz on my UM3X and they replaced it under warranty with no hassle. Very quick and professional customer service. Even though this would be considered a negative experience (in that the product was defective) the...- dvdonly

Westone 3 cable ... too delicate?
+1, except with a UM3X with non-removable cable. Sound cut in and out (mostly partial sound loss, not complete), wiggling in/around area of Y split would fix. Happens intermittently, not regularly. Owned for 11 months, will be sending in to Westone for repair this weekend. I use this every...- dvdonly

Westone UM3X Thread
After loving my UM3Xs for 11 months, I'm sad to report that my cable seems to be shorting. After flexing the cable gently at all points, I think I've narrowed the problem area down to the cables right above the terminal where the one cable from your iPod turns into 2 cables to your ears. I'm...- dvdonly

Apple IEM - most underrated IEMs on the market
Cool thanks everyone for the clarification on the "stealth" update. Hopefully my nearby Best Buy has the newest version. I look forward to buying one of these soon and comparing it with my UM3X (which will stay on my iPod).- dvdonly

Plastic plug as opposed to what other kind of plug? I'm sorry since I've never purchased these I don't know what to look for. Could someone please post a picture of what berniebennybernard is referring to? Thanks! Quote: Originally Posted by berniebennybernard Look for the ones...- dvdonly
