I see what you mean now. If I listen very carefully I can barely hear the distant waterfall sound, but it is very faint for me. It doesn't seem to bother me. I agree that an option to turn off the ANC would be ideal, but I think you're right about the use-case being mostly for having it...

I have not noticed any white noise or hiss with mine. I’m almost afraid to even listen for it now though, given others have that issue.

I second this on an iphone 14 pro max. I now have both the BTD 600 and the Creative BT-W4, and both of these dongles require external power with the Apple lightning to usb 3 camera adapter. Both work well for me.

Thank you so much for this information. So when you say you need to power the bluetooth dongle to use with iphone, are you saying that you connect a USB C charger to the Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter (USB A to the dongle and USB C to power source)? Sorry for the basic (likely obvious) question.
