Can’t quantify it but definitely noticeable. I’ll say the biggest difference to me was everything becoming more focused giving more clarity to every single tone. As a result the whole experience was elevated. You can switch between using the internal clock and external clock on the fly with the...- dstubked

Sharing my setup with the Mutec clocks - the music just flows and my wife finds it quite hard to rip me off my seat when the Bartok does it magic together with the Mutecs.- dstubked

I have got the Ref10, not the SE but you cannot connect it directly to the Bartok. I have 2 other Mutec MC3+ connected to the ref10 and have the word clock outputs of the MC3+ connected to the Bartok. You will need 2 MC3+, one unit clocking 44khz samples and another clocking 48khz samples. I...- dstubked

Headamp Blue Hawaii Special Edition
Seeking some advice - my BHSE started to have distortion on the left channel whenever the volume goes past the 2 o'clock position. Swapped the tubes too and the problem persists. Any ideas?- dstubked

Difficult decision unless you hear it. I already had the mutec combo and it was a small cost to add on (another mutec mc3+) in order to experience the benefits of external clocking man I was pleased. I'm just wondering how much better the sound can get vs Lina or the Rosinni clock.- dstubked

I did not have the chance to try a Rossini clock but I did have a Mutec Ref10 and a Mutec MC3+ USB left over after I sold the MDave setup and had the Bartok reference the MC3+ wordclock. I can totally hear the difference with and without the external clock. I get a much focused sound (i.e well...- dstubked

Couldn't agree more with your comments on MDave. I was able to sell my MDave, streamer, USB conditioner and 3 x LPS, not to mention quite a few other cables just moving away from MDave to the Bartok. Sonically I would even add the Bartok is a step up from my MDave setup and couldn't be...- dstubked

No worries at all! To be honest, I did not perform an in-depth before and after in my setup with the EtherRegen. My goal was to optimize my setup by eliminating would be problems and the EtherRegen certainly fits that bill. There is a really long thread on the EtherRegen on the audiophilestyle...- dstubked

Thanks for the advice on the fibre connection. I can't clock the EtherRegen direct from the Bartok since the Bartok offers only a wordclock output. The EtherRegen takes a 10mhz clock input so I believe it won't work. I have a Mutec Ref10 and clocking the EtherRegen. From the Mutec Ref10 I have 2...- dstubked

Yeah thats something I am thinking of. Just thinking about the best way to do things. I got an etherregen connecting both the NUC and the Bartok on the A side and on the B side I have it connected to my router upstream. In this case, I reckon the fibre channel should be on the B side of the...- dstubked

Hi All, just joined the club after moving on from a Dave + Mscaler + USB conditioner + Streamer with fewer LPS and the spaghetti I had to deal with and loving the sound and simplicity now. Would like to take the sound up another notch and I have a question.. From most resources I read..ethernet...- dstubked
