AXEL GRELL HEADPHONE
Surely one of the best comments here ... . As with everything moderately technical, be that cars, bikes, Hifi and Headfi ... its (mostly) made to appeal to the male ego and priced accordingly.- drummerman1

The bass of the HD650 - what a strange thing
Ah, the old accuracy, thing. Me sometimes think the best we can hope for are renditions that we think sound close to the real thing. Hell, I have attended live music in not exactly audiophile surroundings were I hoped it wouldn't sound as bad as home.- drummerman1

Tidal ... I like you
Well, my Tidal Hifi Plus subscription renews tomorrow still at the old £19.99 price. The new, lower cost combined tier starts on the 10th April. I have downgraded my subscription today and will upgrade (or get the benefit) of the lower cost one in a few days. I would do the same if yours renews...- drummerman1

Which one is the winner DT1990 or Sundara
With the Mojo you are set. The EQ is superb even though I calibrate my HP's in Roon for simplicity. I think the Sundara is superb for the money and with the Chord you can make it sound like you want. I never had a problem, build is solid but if I had to criticise something it's the...- drummerman1

Which one is the winner DT1990 or Sundara
I have to say that whilst a flat soundstage is sometimes said to be a planar thing ... (flat diaphragm ... flat soundstage ... ?) I have not found the Sundara lacking in soundstage depth. If a recording has that attribute, the Sundara seems to do it as well as my other, admittedly humble...- drummerman1

Sennheiser HD 660S2 thread
Yes. The new Pro Macbooks, M1 Pro and forward, have improved Headphone stages. Apple did quite a bit to improve them. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/108351 When I thought my Chord Mojo 2 gave it's spoon up (it didn't, I was just a complete dumbass) I reverted back to the MB M2 Pro for a day...- drummerman1

Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 58X Jubilee Review & Measurements
Thank you. My Mojo2 does not have balanced so it probably won't be worth buying one of those. To be honest, I love it as is. Now I did my mod bass is super deep and with lovely control and slam plus I got the rest dialled in perfectly with minor Roon EQ. A fantastic little headphone for next to...- drummerman1
