I have to say I feel the exact opposite. The a105 sounds more nasally and clinical. I've only tried both on my beyerdynamic soul byrd's. I will update when my ATH-WP900s arrive. Maybe it's just a synergy thing.

I'm glad someone else feels this way. I even purchased a nw-a105 last week thinking I'd get the same sound. I just can't get along with it like the nw-a55.

I still.have some minidisc stuff. It's fun. Collecting different discs gets expensive. It's definitely more time consuming.than just streaming tidal etc. It will be fun to see what.music is on those 100 discs.

The 770/80pro's have an adjustable headband as well. They also are supposed to sound better than the 770/250. Do you have a guitar center near you. You can try the 80's out there. The headband will loosen up with time or you can strech it out if necessary. Headphones don't get much more...
