Yeah apparently the ribbon was cut so that the invoice and shields could be put in, I'll buy that. I just used the Immortal Life Program, and the pair that v moda sent to me was not new (a few marks, no ribbon on the boxing etc.). On the Immortal Life page it says for a 'new pair of M-100s' so what's happened here? Something I'm missing?

Is there a general consensus over the best aftermarket cable for the M-100? Nuforce transient is an option but is quite expensive in the UK

I've got an issue where the cord leading from the headband to earcup is longer on one side than the other, likely from an accidental pulling. Anybody have a fix?

The supplied comply tips do make quite a difference, I initially felt that the upper mids on these were a tad 'boxy' but with the comply tips that issue is for the most part resolved.  Any other recommendable foam tips? not looking forward to paying the absurd price for comply tips when these...

additionally, whats a good way to remove the foam tips without destroying them?

Just received these and have been using them all day. Quite a refreshing change from the IE8s I used to have. That being said, this memory coil around the wire is driving me insane. Recommendation for obtaining a cable that has no memory plastic at the top?
