I do most of my listening using an iPhone and can't say it sounds any different from my Honor 10 which supports aptX HD.

I've never experienced any discomfort with the PX so I guess I'm lucky.

I've got AirPods but honestly don't use them much. My Sennheiser momentun free's are a much better option. The sound quality blows the AirPods away.

I find the volume buttons on the PX a little difficult to always hit accurately but otherwise am very happy with them. Each phone has its pluses and minuses but the PX is the best I've tried overall.
