    Using a preamp as a headphone amp?

    I have a tube preamplifier (Joule Electra LA 150) that I like very much. It has two line level outs so I could connect it to an amp and a headphone amp. I would like to find a way to listen to the Joule through headphones (I have Senn 650). Any thoughts on doing this? Thanks.

    Amps for AKG 1000 & some other questions ..

    Get an amp whose binding posts accept bananas. This will make switching between the AKGs and the speaker wire easier. You can buy Cardas adapters that allow you to convert spades to bananas. I am thinking about taking that route myself so I can use my tube monos for headphone listening.

    Amp to compliment HD600's with an audigy2 source??

    I've used an Audio Alchemy with the 600 which produced very nice sound. You should be able to find one used for around $150. I might be selling mine, since I just upgraded. Let me know if you are interested.
