    Cheaper headphones/headset for console gaming

I'm currently looking for a budget pair of headphones for use with my Xbox One and PS4. I usually use speakers but when it's late and others are home I have to turn it right down. I have a pair of Koss Portapros that I use (plugged directly into the controller) but they do tend to clamp a...

need headphones... budget 300$... for samsung galaxy s2

I own a GS2 and while I am not an audiophile by any means I do notice it sounds slightly worse with my pair of Sennheiser headphones than when it is plugged into my computer (via a soundcard). However it is still very listenable and while I am out I only listen using a pair of in-ears because of...

    Some recommendations for a newbie

If you guys are still around, I have another question to ask. I'm planning to buy a pair of headphones for my sister around christmas and would like some input. She is not as obsessed with sound as much as I am but does listen to a lot of music (more than I do in fact) however she uses a crappy...

Corsair SP2500s (Speakers) or Sennheiser HD598s (Headphones)

Hail fellow aussie! I believe going the passive speaker route will be a bit out of your price range as you will need to buy the speakers, amp and subwoofer seperately (which will set you back at least half a grand if not more). For your purposes I would recommend getting headphones. For gaming I...

    Hello, newbie seeking answers!

A bit off-topic but you've really scared me with that fact about people over 24. Am I going to lose my ability to hear higher frequencies?

Thanks a lot for the info!   1. Probably 300 or less. 2. Open back is fine. (Generally gives better sound, no?) 3. Comfort is very high on my list as I spend hours at a time listening to music. 4. I listen mostly to film scores and trailer music (e.g. Two Steps from Hell). I also do...

Corsair SP2500s (Speakers) or Sennheiser HD598s (Headphones)

I can certainly understand your dilemma as those are two very attractive (not to mention pricey) options. First off, may I ask what your intended usage will be? Movies, games, etc? I own a pair of 518s which is the baby of the 500 series and I can tell you that listening is pure bliss compared...

    Some recommendations for a newbie

Hi everyone,   I just wanted to take a moment to ask about all the best headphone manufacturers out there and the best models price/ratio wise. I know Sennheiser and Audio Technica are fairly popular but wanted to know about other brands as well. To narrow it down, I am interested in ones...

The Official Horror game Thread!! Lets put those headphones to good use!

The first FEAR was excellent. Great atmosphere and just the right amount of gunplay and scares. The 2nd one had its moments (anyone remember those "experiments"?) but wasn't as scary as a whole. The 3rd one lost most of it's horror elements due to co-op. Which is kind of similar to Dead Space...

    Computer/Gaming console audio help

I have them hooked up via HDMI. The receiver is a Yamaha HTR-3065 which has Silent Cinema which I believe is Yamaha's headphone DSP however I prefer no processing.

What headphones are you currently rocking?

Just recently bought a pair of Sennheiser HD518 (my first true quality headphones) and am amazingly surprised at how much better everything sounds. Was using some "gaming" headsets and speakers but I'm actually using these now for gaming because they're just that good.
