ETHER 2: Impressions and Discussion
I use this set up in my office and the Inspire IHA-1 sounds absolutely wonderful with the Ether 2. I highly recommend the pairing. So smooth and liquid with surprisingly good bass. I have spent a lot of hours recently listening to this pairing while I am working at home. It replaced the Utopia...- DocBass

MrSpeakers Electrostatic Prototype Listening Impressions
I would really like to know the answer to this as well. And I was wondering if Dan received his iESL yet! If so can you let us know what you think of it. Does it color the sound of the VOCE, or alter the sound you are hearing from a dedicated electrostatic amp? I continue to use it with my...- DocBass

MrSpeakers Electrostatic Prototype Listening Impressions
Yes, iFi is certainly conservative with their recommmendations. All of my headphone amps have powered the VOCE quite well and each brings a different sound. I’m looking forward to hearing others experiences with the iESL and I can’t wait to get a dedicated electrostatic amp to see how that...- DocBass

MrSpeakers Electrostatic Prototype Listening Impressions
I have had a few weeks with my VOCE and It seems to have gotten even better! Still neutral but with such definition and clarity. It’s fun to listen to and really shows the differences between sources and amps. If you are interested in the ifi iESL then I strongly recommend that you purchase a...- DocBass

MrSpeakers Electrostatic Prototype Listening Impressions
So a few more days of listening and I am still enjoying it very much. I have found myself listening to stuff I normally wouldn't like bluegrass and jazz of all things and enjoying it! Just listening to the timber and sound of the instruments is really fun. i would still call this a neutral...- DocBass

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Thanks for the fast reply! That's too bad though... maybe some day they will look at it again. They have a way of making great products for a lot less then what other companies would charge!- DocBass

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
I just received my new Mrspeakers VOCE electrostatic headpohones which I am running from my YGGY/Rag setup into an ifi-iESL. Has Schiit ever spoken about doing an electrostat amp?? I love their products and would love to keep my schiit stack!- DocBass

MrSpeakers Electrostatic Prototype Listening Impressions
Yesterday afternoon my VOCE arrived! A big thank you to Mrspeakers for shipping the headphones early. Hopefully the box will follow soon. I spent several hours last night and again today listening. I am new to electrostats and this has been such a real treat. First just to get it out of the...- DocBass

Schiit Jotunheim Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV
Many (most?) people prefer the sound of multibit over a sigma-delta DAC. The music sounds more lifelike, without the sharp treble (although this is much better with more recent DS chips).- DocBass

This is very interesting. I know Schiit said for a while that the R2R component was too large to fit into a Jot but I guess they made it happen. I think people will really like the multibit DAc / Jot combo vs the Saber!- DocBass

Cavalli Audio's Liquid Carbon 2.0 - Owners Impressions
I have a Liquid Carbon 2.0 which I bought close to the launch of the second round. This worked perfectly until i was listening during a pretty gentle rain shower and the power flickered of and on a few times and then stayed off. I unplugged my equipment and after the power came back on there was...- DocBass
