Yea maybe I did not calibrate it right, but just doesnt sound good with my HD600s. The Dolby setup introduced in the other thread was fantastic however :)

I'm trying to set up Isone Pro on foobar2000 and after reading this thread i am still extremely confused as to what people are doing... Right now my only active DSP is the George Yeohgn's VST Wrapper, set to Isone Pro. What else do I need? I tried to directly set this to Isone Pro Surround...

Haha I thought I'd be happy for a loooong time upgrading from my DX->HD555 setup, but I guess there is always room to upgrade... Is it even possible to get really nice and convincing surround sound from headphones?

A lot of people swear by their Xonar ST/STX so I don't think I necessarily need tube amps to make my hd600s shine. What do you mean by artificial? I personally find that sometimes the stereo is too cleanly seperated and that tends to by extremely artificial (since we hear sound with both ears...

My budget is pretty much $100-150, so either setup fits. I was just wondering which will provide the best SQ to drive a pair of HD600's? I've heard decent reviews on the Zero, but some people have also said that the Xonar uses a quality DAC, and the PA2v2 should be better than the Zero's...

Hey guys, I currently have the Asus Xonar D1 -> HD555 setup, but is looking to upgrade the cans to HD600's being a newbie to the audiophile world can be pretty intimidating, so I need some advice on the best setup that would get the most out of my new cans :P   I do gaming/movie/music on...

like i said, do you game or do you just listen to music? sound cards come with positioning effects you cant get from just a DAC/Amp setup, but sound quality suffers a bit.   I like to do both, so I was just wondering if the soundcard -> DAC/Amp will even work :P no idea tho..
