1) it only sound good onstore !! because when you tried it.. you hear artificially tuned sound.. 2) parts is cheap 3) you pay for marketing 4) it sound artificial ( i like sound that sound close to the original)

on your budget srh840..   detail and bass..   but sound kind of boring as it intended for studio..

try foobar with crossfeed dsp... crosfeed effect share the bottom frequency from left and right driver.. sound more like speaker   and onboard (crapy) sound card will not do justice..

try it yourself.. if its good then its good..   but i once burn in grado for a day in very high volume and 1 of the driver sound diffrent..   so try not to loud..
