First of all, I would like to give thanks to Tronsmart (@Tronsmart Official ) for giving me a chance to try out and review on this unit. This is my first time trying out and reviewing a tronsmart item. Prior to this, I have heard really great things about the brand, its quality and wonderful sound tuning, and I'm really excited to review this. I have gotten this unit for about 2 weeks now and lets take a look at my finding. I will add in the DSP function and performance on a later date in this post all the way below this coming weekend (20th Nov) as...

Disclaimer: This earpiece is provided to me by CVJ for review. Setup used: PC > Topping E30 > CSK [Foobar2000] Handphone > CSK [UAPP & Hiby App] Impressions (Stock): To put it bluntly and shortly, the bass bleeding to lower mids is horrible. Time and again I thought it was bad drivers or the fact that it simply needs more burn-in time. Unfortunately, after more than a week with total usage of about 20hrs, it still sounds bad, real bad... As you would expect, the bass amount is good in terms of quantity (volume) but the quality sucks big time. I...

Disclaimer: This earpiece is provided to me by Earphones Trn for a review. Setup used: PC > Topping E30 > ST2 Impressions (Stock): The bass was a "wow" factor right out of the box, it came with a good punch, something I appreciate over the roaring boomy bass. The good decay of the bass prevented bleeding into the lower mids, making the bass sound really clean. The amount of bass lies in a sweet spot, giving enough energy to build up the set without stealing the spotlight from other spectrums. The mids can be broken down into the good and the bad...

  6. Knowledge Zenith KZ EDX Single-Dynamic Driver Earphone

Specifications Bass As expected of a 1DD, it have incredible amount of bass. Unfortunately, I can hear a little bleeding into the male vocals (low mids). Although there is a substantial amount of bass, it is not boomy and does not overwhelm listener. For this bass, I believe everyone would like it, bass-head or not. However, bass-heads will probably want a little more which can be easily archived with simple mods such as changing the tips or using KZ's own gold & silver plated copper wire instead of the stock cable. Mids The mids is very pleasant...

Accessories 1. Spinfit Tips (S M L) 2. Stock Tips (S M L) + Other tips [These were found in the tour package, not sure if they are available with the purchase] 3. OCC + SP-OCC MMCX cable w modular connectors 4. Large carrier pouch Listening Impression Bass: I really love the dynamics of the bass spectrum which is relatively linear with soft roll-off at the sub-bass region. I find Luna to be more punchy than most DDs in the market (I don't think I came across anything punchier than this). Some people seem to find this bass-light but I...

Introducion This is a new product by QOA, a China-fi brand that hit the market few years back. This brand is affiliated to the brand, Kinera which seems to handle the more high-end products while QOA looks into beginner/intermediate player's market. In general, their earpiece is slightly smaller to cater to ladies which generally have slightly smaller ears. Introduction Avara Custom is an UIEM/CIEM manufacturer based in Indonesia. It is rather popular locally and have gained some fame in the audiophile community for its' affordable price and fully customizable faceplate. The model I'm reviewing today is the Neo+, the revamp of the Neo, which is also the cheapest option available @ 40USD. Take note that this model is only available in universal fit https://www.avara-custom.com/products/earphone/avara-neo/ Sources Laptop 3.5mm Realtek USB DAC connected to laptop Topping E30+MX3 connected to laptop...
  11. KZ S2

Fresh out of the box The initial listening was a "super" disappointing one for myself. Upon pairing, I excitedly opened up my Hiby app to listen to a few songs. Although I was expecting to receive a rather "flat" signature earpieces like what most of the reviewers before me reviewed, I would not agree with their statement. What I find myself in is a BT earpiece that sounded very lacking in both bass and treble. Virtually it sounded as if the instruments were a few meters behind the singer. You clearly hear the singing but the instruments just felt as...

Some clarification... my personal review is amateur(mostly my hobbit and sharing thoughts with my pal) and not professional. Mostly based on initial impression before and after burn-in (Which mean I listen to songs of genre with no EQ setting, same player at the same volume before and after burn-in to compare any difference). If you are interested to know a little more regarding KZ upgrade cables, please look at my ZS10Pro review. In general, what I find is similar when using different "upgrade cable", so I will not repeat here again. Since I own...

ailI finally received this after almost 2 weeks of waiting! I spend some time listening to it using these cables. (1)Default Cable (2)Silver Plated Cable and (3) The new Gold & Silver plated cable. The songs I played using different cables are the same. I've tested them on my Hidizs AP80 at 25% of volume with EQ and 8ball off. (I guess this would suffice for a fair test?) What I'm writing below is with respect to the default cable. I will make a short comparison of what I feel with different cables at the end. I will add some feedback after a few...

Hi all, I'm rather new to audio tech. Just gonna share about how I feel after using the KZ ZSN(upgrade with the silver plated cable). I use it as my permanent earpiece going with my DAP (Hidizs AP80) and sometimes I use it along my PC with an an external usb DAC(Breeze audio ESS9028Q2M) and a cheap chifi tube amp(FXaudio- FX-03) I uses FLAC files. I dont really remember the details of my first impression of using zsn... But I do remember being amazed by what it does at this low price. I also have the habit of burning-in (a cruel and unbearing wait...
