  1. Vibro Labs Aria quad armature in-ear monitor

    4.00 star(s)
Introduction: I had the great pleasure of being able to listen to the Aria in exchange for an honest review of the product.  I would like to thank Luke for giving me this opportunity and patience as I took a long time to complete this review! Before the Aria I had no experience with Vibro products.  This means I went into my listening of the Aria with a pretty open mind.  Before I listened to the Aria I read the product description online which reads “Aria is known for its legendary extension, both up top and down low.  Its sound signature is...

Disclaimer: The CL750 were provided to me as a part of the North American Review Tour by RHA.  I have been given 10 days to listen to and then write a review where I will pass them along to the next reviewer.  My opinions written in this review are just that, mine.  They do not reflect RHA as a company.  I am receiving no monetary compensation for this review. I will apologize upfront: no pictures for the CL1, there was a terrible tragedy in which those photos got deleted, and I have since passed the RHA trio onto the next reviewer.  Luckily for...

    4.50 star(s)
Grace Design m9XX Review     Introduction: Where I say stuff that you may want to know about myself and my music preferences There is already many very well done reviews of this product already here on Head-Fi, so I will try and not belabor my points to much for this review, but you may need to put up with a little of my grandiloquence at times! (Got to keep it interesting right?) First off I would like to describe my music preferences.  I think this is an important thing to consider while reading reviews as sound preferences are very unique...
  7. Beyerdynamic T 70 Over Ear Headphone, Black/Grey

    4.00 star(s)
Overview In this review I will, as the title suggests, be talking about the T70p.  I purchased them because I wanted a good, full-sized portable headphone.  Because of the mixed views of these headphones they have reached some pretty low market prices, so I thought why not give them a shot!  In this review I will compare them primarily to two other headphones in my possession; the Shure 1540, and the Beyerdynamic DT990 pro. I will also discuss the effect of pad swapping with these headphones.  My source equipment was the Fiio e09k+ Fiio e17 for...
  8. RHA S500i Ultra-Compact In-Ear Headphone

    4.00 star(s)
Disclaimer: These headphones were provided to me through RHA in exchange for an honest review.  My opinions are my own and unbiased.   Introduction: I would like to take a brief moment to thank the good folks at RHA for providing these headphones for review.  The s500i is my first RHA IEM.  In addition to reviewing these headphones, I will be comparing them to other IEM’s that are in the same price bracket.  These headphones are, in addition to the s500i, the Shure SE215 (MSRP 99.00), Thinksound Rain 2 (89.99), and MeElectronics M6 Pro (49.99). ...
  9. MEElectronics M6 PRO Universal-Fit Noise-Isolating Musician’s In-Ear Monitors with Detachable Cables

    4.00 star(s)
Intro The M6 Pro is a new universal fit IEM produced by MEElectronics.  MEElectronics is known for offering excellent price to performance for their products.  This model in particular retails most places for 49.99.  It comes with an abundance of accessories.  These accessories include two 1.3m cables (with and without mic), several types of silicon tips (6 pairs) and a medium comply tip, shirt clips (2), ¼" adapter, and a rather robust carrying case.  The ¼" adapter seems a bit unnecessary, however I happened to need one for a different set of...
  10. thinksound rain2 Wooden In-Ear Headphone (Gunmetal Chocolate)

    4.00 star(s)
Disclaimer: I am in not associated with any company; my views are mine, and my own.    The Thinksound Rain2 is the newest IEM produced and designed by the environmentally friendly company Thinksound.  It is the successor to their older Rain model which has critically acclaimed.  I have not heard the original Rain but my assumption is that the Rain2 is improved (only logical assumption).   In fact this is my first Thinksound product, and I am pretty impressed so far.   Pros: The Rain2 creates a buttery smooth sound that is refreshingly...
  11. FiiO E09K

    4.50 star(s)
I will keep this review short as there are lots of other well done in depth reviews out there. I have had this unit for a while now ( about 4-5 months) and I love it.  I have had no issues with it and I pair it with the e17.  The amp alone is well made, relatively neutral (slightly warm).  It has plenty of juice which should power most headphones and stubborn hard to drive ones.  In general it tightens and extends the base a bit giving it a more polished feel.  Additionally it will open of the sound stage a decent amount (depends on specific...
  12. Shure SRH1540 Headphones

    5.00 star(s)
Disclaimer: I am in no way associated with Shure or any other company.  My opinions are mine, and my own.     Pro: Offering exceptional fidelity and comfort with a brilliant construction and thoughtful extras the Shure 1540 is a headphone that is not easily bested. Cons: With a rather steep price tag it can be a large pill to swallow for someone hesitant to take the leap.   Overall:  The new Shure closed flag ship is a major contender to the headphone market.  I believe it to be one of, if not the best closed back headphone on the market.  It...
