Samsung Galaxy S7 - Best next audiophile phone?
I have decided to sell my V10 because I really need the dual sim capability. I spoke with the Huawei Sales guy last week and he could tell me that all internal components, incl. the sound chip, of the P9 will be improved. See also my previous posts on the Huawei self made sound chip. Knowing...- deepocean1358

Samsung Galaxy S7 - Best next audiophile phone?
That sounds all very nice but not realistic. Products need to be optimized. Not a lot of people will buy a standalone DAC made for the LG G5 for general use. General public does not purchase a DAC and the people who actually do buy DACs, buy different (high end) brands. Also, that...- deepocean1358

Samsung Galaxy S7 - Best next audiophile phone?
The V10 is definitely better, no question about it. But the Mate 8 comes close and offers other stuff that my V10 does not. I really like that LG is trying out something new with their modules. But honestly I am not optimistic about other companies embracing the idea and developing a lot...- deepocean1358

Samsung Galaxy S7 - Best next audiophile phone?
Hi Whitigir, I have no skin in this game and normally would never mingle in a discussion since I don't own a Mate 8. I do however own a LG V10 and compared it last week to the Mate 8 and S7 Edge (Exynos version I assume: I am in Germany) in a large chainstore. I listened on all 3 phones...- deepocean1358

Vivo XPlay 5
thank you for that link. I was already afraid they would not support LTE800. Oh well lets move on to Meizu Pro 6 and dream about a DUAL SIM phone with real audio capabilities. Although deep down I know that also Meizu wont support the LTE800- deepocean1358

Vivo XPlay 5
Please also confirm whether or not it has LTE 800. Would also like to know general impression on quality and battery life. The Fun Touch OS looks terrible on youtube btw but I guess that easily fixed with a standard Google ROM. If one is developed for it that is.- deepocean1358

Best Smartphone for audiophile
Hi, thanks so much for your elaborated answer. First off, I am not an audiophil and I am not very verbose on this topic. However my ears are picky and I know very quickly when I like a sound profile and when not. Today I also tried the K845 and was disappointed as they sounded muffled and...- deepocean1358

Best Smartphone for audiophile
Take a look at this link, http://www.devicespecifications.com/en/comparison/9fad59a4b its called a hisilicon hi6402 I personally like OLED screens better, the camera was also not the best. It had some problems with finding focus in the store (was a bit dark). There is a 128GB version...- deepocean1358

Best Smartphone for audiophile
I actually tried out this phone a few days ago while comparing it to my V10. And I must say the sound was clear and loud. I think the V10 had more depth to it and also more instruments were audible with my V10 (FLAC Song: Scheherazade Rimsky Korsakov). So although I agree with you that...- deepocean1358
