Since the choice has been narrowed down to Q701 VS XB1000, majiktripp, you owe it ONLY to yourself to try it with your music.   I like my Q701, and I like my XX ablum thru it.

It did not cost me an arm and leg to get the Q701 amped.   Quote:

The Q701 is COMPLETELY different from the K series, Very very easy to drive. My NAD320Bee, drives it with ease. Its a FUN Can that is NOT Veiled.   Go for it.

Just purchased a BLACK Q701 off Amazon. I have heard the K701 driven by a Yaqin MS6v6 and a HK AVR.   a)K701 sounds TERRIBLE and Anaemic on the 6v6 b)Symmetry and fabulous with the HK AVR.   So I too have the belief that the k701s are hard to drive.And need amps that cost more than the...

I wanted to ask you if any of you knew what might be a good amp to drive these 650s to their full potential. I'm looking for something relatively inexpensive...maybe $150 if possible...I dunno. Try the Dugood EA600. Do a search.
