Open-Back Fostex TH-X00 - Good Idea?
I have tried all combos of drivers and cups. Th900 with 500 cups are full of bass. The biodyna driver moves freely and really pushes air, however without a measurement rig, it’s difficult for me to say whether sonically accurate or not.- Daze513

Open-Back Fostex TH-X00 - Good Idea?
The 500rp cups are as open as it gets. Very little resistance honestly. The original tuning is more for reflections that air management.- Daze513

New Fostex RP open-backed planar magnetic headphone, TH500RP! Available now!
Thanks. One thing also that I did later was swapping the planar driver itself. So the original 500RP used a mk2 driver, and I swapped in a mk3, and it was a huge improvement. Kind of like the improvements from the t50rp mk2 to mk3- Daze513

New Fostex RP open-backed planar magnetic headphone, TH500RP! Available now!
So that was my initial project. I was working on those headphones for a while... what I did instead of putting biodynamic drivers into the TH500rp frame.. I put the TH500cups on TH600s. Basically the same thing. And the aluminum open cups screw right on. It sounded insane. Different to...- Daze513

TH-900 Fostex EZ-Simple Mods and other Fostex Dynamic Variants X00...Denon..More Bass ? Mid ? Soundstage ? Smooth trebles ?
No i actually haven't gotten around to tuning anymore since i don't have measurements rigs. I'm working on piecing one together before ago further because the sound changes enough to not really know where the measurements are going by ear. at least to my novice ear.- Daze513

Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review
So overall, which driver would be more desirable... TH600 or THX00? Really wasn't aware of that magnets difference but sure enough I just noticed it. I read somewhere that the TH600 magnets were the TH900 rejects. Not sure how true that is.- Daze513
