WiiM Streamers Mini and Pro
I run the WiiM with my Pontus II. I spoke with Alvin got him to order one. This baby seems to sneak under the radar. If one plans to run it into a preferred dedicated dac and going WiFi, I’m thinking any increase in sq would likely be negligible. I like this guys YouTube video as to its...- daytrader

I can understand the Ethernet connection. Though I will say the Wi-Fi, if you have good service, is pretty darn good too. What’s the price point for the pro?- daytrader

WiiM Streamers Mini and Pro
What’s the pro offer over the Mini? Connectivity? Better Dac? Etc? If you already have a good dac you are happy with then it becomes a mute point.- daytrader

WiiM Streamers Mini and Pro
The WiiM Mini Airplay 2 is the best thing since the Bluesound Node 2021. At less than $90 it works so much easier & better than the Node at 1/5th the price. GAPLESS PLAYBACK HI-RES 192 kHz, 24-bit MUSIC - a no brainer if you use Amazon Music Ultra HD, Bluetooth ain’t bad either. Graphic EQ...- daytrader

DENAFRIPS 'ARES' R2R discrete ladder DAC - close up view
All those will contribute to static as we know. If it doesn’t go away with your suggestions and the passing of dry months I’d suggest a room humidifier if the problem isn’t an easy fix.- daytrader

Static, especially in winter time can be trying if this is what truly is going on? Otherwise stop drinking these energy drinks! 😜- daytrader

STAX SRM-D10 Portable Electrostatic Headphone Amplifier / DAC
droido256, I have this same set up, L700 with D10. I looked but never found a lightning to micro usb but certainly have another look around the internet as you never know. I ended up with the Apple Lightning USB Camera Adapter plugged into the Stax provided cable. Worked very well.- daytrader

STAX SRM-D10 Portable Electrostatic Headphone Amplifier / DAC
Pretty sure if plugged into the AC and still not working at all then it might be dead unfortunately. Open it up see if you can replace the batteries yourself, might work? I’ve seen sourced batteries online from overseas I believe, if I can find the website I’ll post it. Or else give Mike a...- daytrader

Bluesound Node - New 2021 model!!
The difference is more silver in the Excalibur, thus brighter and in my opinion not a good option for most resolving dacs. I can see it helping with dull sounding systems, in effect tilting the spectrum higher but not actually adding anymore information.- daytrader
