the Go-Vibe Petite+DAC has a Gain switch. It's internal and you would need to open the amp up to switch. High and Low gain available.

I listened to it at Jaben in Singapore and I must say it's pretty good. Beats the mSeed Sprit, C&C Box, Minibox CL, Minibox D and Xtra X1. Do agree that the bass could have been stronger and deeper. Soundstaging is lacking compared to my Go-Vibe V5s.

i owned the e3c prior to my um1 purchase. i sold the e3c. why? because as much as i love the smooth silky mids of the e3c, the um1 has a more balance sound production. the bass is adequate. the treble sounded much better with the bi-flange and the mid though not as silky as the e3c, is...

get the Tri-Flange from Shures, convert it into the bi-flange hear the results. If it still doesn't please you, then you'll need to look somewhere else. Besides, the bi-flange can be used on the e3c,e4c and e5c.

Anyone knows that if I'm in Singapore and I've lost my receipt, where should i go? Serial no. on the my e3c is 095. bought 8 months ago.

i switched from Ex71 to HJE-50s. The Ex71 broke. HJE-50 sounds much better after my mods. i stuff some cotton wool into the driver to minimise the "IN YOUR HEAD" feeling. The highs and mids are more controlled now. i switch the ear tips to the Ex71 tips cause they're softer on my ears...
