Is there any reason I shouldn’t stack a tube headphone amp on a Mimir? I currently use a Valhalla 2 and a Modi MB2, but am considering upgrading to a Valhalla 3 or a Lyr+. I’m running a pair of Senn HD650. Thoughts?

It is, I was talking about when I did the upgrade from Gen1 to Gen2.

I’m describing my experience installing Gen2, I started out with Gen1. I went straight from Gen2 to Unison, so that was the one and only time I opened it up.

The most unexpected part of the upgrade process for me was when I sent my A1 in to get Unison, it came back with a matte button rather than the shiny one it left with.

The OG Gungnir is challenging to open. The top, front, and bottom are all one piece making a u shape. Lots of screws involved, and I found it difficult to line up the leds with the holes in the case upon reassembly.

I upgraded my OG Gungnir to MB in August of 2016 and I got A1. I've had it a total of 12 years and it continues to make sound that I enjoy a lot. Mine's been back and forth to the mothership a couple of times for upgrades, but it's never had a single performance issue.

Got a question for the knowledgeable group here…. I have a black Freya S and its volume knob is easy to pull off, unlike my Silver one. It’s not super loose or wobbly, just wanted to know if there’s a way to make it tighter. Thanks in advance.
