I'm not actually sure about this because I already had all of my CDs ripped by album.  I only have a few albums on my Clip and I haven't added any individual songs.

Try giving it a bit of charge, then do that reset like I said in the last post.  That is how I ended up getting mine back from that mess.   The Sansa updater absolutely refused to recognize my Clip when I had this problem, so I wouldn't take that as a sign.

Do a hard reset on the Clip, hold the power down for 15~ seconds.  When it is booting up hold the left button.  Tell me if that helps or not.

Did you try to rockbox it, have a problem, then reformat?  Regardless, I believe the devs said that you only need the firmware .bat file or something like that.  Just find that, download it, and drag it back onto the clip and it should fix itself.   Edit:  I cleared mine by accident and I...

Unfortunately there are a few problems with my Clip.  I have noticed a lot of dust in the cracks and slots and now it seems like the + volume button sticks a little and doesn't click when pressed.  Sounds absolutely fantastic though, so I am not sure if I wanna hassle with sending it back, try...
