    Periodic Audio Silicon DAC

We're getting the pilot production next week. The RT6863 has a lot of use in a lot of mid-high end applications, it's probably why Semtech (Based in Camarillo, CA) bought the entire chip line. The 6863 measures quite well, almost as well as the INA1620. But, while op amps are important, the...

Thanks all! Note we went with a plastic (custom blended thermopolymer) case to keep the weight down, and also improve Bluetooth range. Similar to the Qudelix 5K and Eosone ES100. Metals and ceramics hurt range and add a lot of weight, so we made a decision to go with function over form, and...

I've been playing with MEMS speakers from xMEMS and uSound for several years now. IMHO, they're not ready for prime time for a few reasons: - Limited displacement. They are very small displacement units, and thus cannot move a lot of air. Both offerings, IMHO, run out of steam below 1 kHz...

Thanks! It's a very good sounding Bluetooth, but the dual source feature is KILLER. I use it to bounce between my laptop and my phone. Single click and instantly switched to the other device, extremely convenient.

See them at CanJam in about 2 days! We're sharing a booth with CEntrance - but the coolness starts there. Also check our Instagram feed - it's got some info, too.

Try our Select-a-tron (it's really quite accurate). https://periodicaudio.com/pages/selectatron I'd suggest Titanium as your choice.

Yes, yes we are. And we're proud of that nerd status! It allows us to go to places in design/development that most companies don't realize exist. It's also why we have dozens of patents throughout our careers - we are quite creative thinkers, always pushing the boundaries! And there's some...

Note that the internal enclosure shape, volume and the transducer are the same; much of what you heard was moving to the new Tritan 1501 HF plastic. We spent 3 years of research with Eastman Chemicals to figure out how to measure and quantify the acoustical performance of thermopolymers. We...

Yes. What sets the balanced nature of things is the amp/electronics, so that's the 4.4mm side. Headphone/IEM sides are pretty much always mono on each side (some headphones with a single cable - like the older Blue stuff I did - is stereo in the cable). Anything that has a cable to each side...

TS on the input (amp/phone/DAP side)? Yes. it's mono. On the output (IEM/headphone side)? Nope. You only HAVE a mono signal to each IEM - a left signal or a right signal. So you only need two wires. Just like a home stereo - one pair of wires to each speaker is all you need.

Yes, any cable that has dual 2.5mm connectors will work with our IEMs. A lot of Sennheiser over-ear headphones use this connection, as do lots of other bigger headphones.

Looks like it should work for you. Note that we're 100+ dB SPL @ 1 mW, so be careful with the volume! Also understand you'll have more THD and noise, since you now have two amplifiers in series with each speaker, not just one. IMHO, the only time a balanced amp stage makes sense is if you...

We're looking at that - but it won't be offered until the new year - we're focused right now on meeting demand for the new units.

Yeah, some recordings are a bit noisy, and you find those easily with decent IEMs!

They should be OK - we power-tested the design with 200 mW for 30 minutes... If you're not sure, we can test them for you if you send them back - we'll run a full AP test suite and send you the results. Dan
