I like to make hot sauces and I have a killer chocolate cream pie recipe that brings all the girls to the yard. I like to infuse tequilas (raspberry and habenero) and vodkas (tea and ginger) but my true alcohol love at the moment is bourbon. Specifically my half-empty bottle of Pappy Van Winkle's 20-year-old Family Reserve. I am also a big fan of Dogfish Head and Ommegang beers and ales. And also anything pork. My reading tends toward biographies, histories, science fiction, noir, and fantasy. Movies five would be Goodfellas, Ikiru, Diva, and Bladerunner. Movies ten would add Tampopo, The Fifth Element, Do the Right Thing, Manhunter, and Blues Brothers.

Music Preferences

I am a fan of many musical genres (from rock to disco to punk to post-punk to hip-hop to trip-hop and pretty much everything in between) including some jazz, country, and classical. My favorite song (for now) is Erik B and Rakim's "Paid In Full (Seven Minutes of Madness—The Coldcut Remix)." My favorite group is the Boston post-punk band Mission of Burma. If I had to choose just five artists (maybe it's a deal with the Devil or something) they would probably be Burma, Hüsker Dü, Tom Waits, AC/DC, and Public Enemy. Make ten and I'd add in Morphine, Gang of Four, Jurassic 5, The Clash, and Johnny Cash.
